Allan Biel
(Charity - Wairarapa Plunket)
Allan is a long
standing and very valuable member of the
team at Breadcraft. He has a vast range of
skills and experience having done his
apprenticeship on the bread and smallgoods
plants and currently looks after the
production of all pita, tortilla, wraps and
specialty products which are made in
Masterton and distributed nation wide. Allan
is always happy to take on additional
responsibilities and is a key member of the
bakery team ensuring that all aspects of the
bakery are maintained to the highest
standards.

Diane Taku
(Charity - Wairarapa Cancer Society)
Di joined the company in April 2003 and is
currently helps in the Turkish and Panini
shift.
Di has worked on a severely shifts to help
where necessary and to learn more of other
lines. The Riga shift are grateful; to her
as when its knock off time Di will always
makes sure that the shift has had it’s
breaks before she goes home. Di also
works extra hours and shifts, weekend work
when required.
Nothing is a problem for Di, she is always
looking for extra work. Di always has
a smile on her face when she’s at work.
She has proved herself to be a great asset
to both her team and the bakery when
required and this is being proven again and
again by the consist effort.

Rawiri Tanirau
(Charity - Child Cancer Research)
Rawiri is
relatively new to the operation having
joined Breadcraft in May of this year. Ra
has been involved primarily on the packaging
and dispatch of our new Artisan range for
domestic and export sales.
He has given
100% effort in every aspect of his position
and has become (in a very short time) a
responsible & dependable member of our team
who can lend a hand to many areas throughout
the facility which we are keen for him to
explore further within Breadcraft in the
future. He has also shown great team spirit
in helping out covering extra hours during
extended production days during the past few
weeks.
Rawiri is a
valued team member and a strong team player
who we hope will make baking his career at
Breadcraft.

Anthony Wills (Charity
- Cancer Society)
Anthony joined the company in 2002 on the
Riga shift were he was heavily involved with
the manufacture of a lot of new products
which set the benchmark for the quality
product produced today.
Anthony took a break in 2006 and returned in
2008. Since his return, Anthony has taken on
every challenge, working most of the
Saturdays required while building food
service stocks for new customers.
In early 2009 he took on the role as Riga
Shift number one Charge Hand; this position
had a great number of challenges and skills
which needed to be learnt.
Anthony has thrived on these challenges and
has proven himself to be a very valuable
member of our Breadcraft Team

Geoff Bailey (Charity -
St Johns)
Geoff has been
with Breadcraft since April 2004. He
started in the factory and as a relief
driver then full time driver on the inter –
company truck. Geoff also delivers our bread
to the shops in Eketahuna. He spends most of
his day in Palmerston North where he
assembles orders for our contractors and
brings these along with crates and pallets
back to Masterton and looks after the truck.
Well done Geoff on getting this award.

Dwayne Stephens
(Charity - Wairarapa Cancer Society)
Dwayne has been
instrumental in assisting with the
commissioning and start-up of our new
packaging line which arrived late from the
German supplier back in February. He has had
to quickly learn all aspects of the machine
in a very short period of time in order to
meet a national launch date which he and his
team managed to achieve admirably.
Dwayne
has given this launch 100% commitment and
has worked exceptionally well with the
machinery suppliers and packaging agents
that were present during start-up and
following commissioning. We are all proud
to have him within our team and appreciate
his skills, abilities and dedication toward
the goals of this plant.

Robert Towgood
(Charity - Wairarapa Cancer Society)
Robert started in April 2002 and has moved
around the bakery on different plants over
the years.
Robert has moved forward in all areas of
the bakery with making sure the Turkish and
panini are produced at a high standard.
This month he has been making the doughs as
well as keeping an eye on the plant to
insure that we have a good product at the
end of the days bake.
Over the past year Robert has shown that he
has the leadership skills and with his team
they have provided a great product.

Brent Storey (Charity
-
Wairarapa branch of the children’s heart
foundation)
The story so far - with over 20years
experience in the food industry and with
just over a years experience in the baking
industry
Brent started life here has a casual with
just 2 weeks work. One year later and full
time has risen to most challenges from doing
night shift, to long hours; Brent is
currently the 2IC in bread dispatch.

Todd Wilton
(Charity - Outward Bound)
After spending several years studying
business at Massey, Todd returned to the
Wairarapa taking up an adult apprenticeship
in which he is due to finish in the next
couple of months. Todd has learnt many new
skills and helped train new staff members
along the way. During 2008 he spent time in
Palmerston North bakery to help train new
staff on their plant.
We wish Todd all the best on his
apprenticeship and achievement on being the
first employee of the month in 2009.

Ryan Swenson
(Charity - Ronald McDonald House)
Since joining the company back in mid 2008,
Ryan has fast-tracked from dispatch to
bagger operator. His personal goal is to
secure an apprenticeship within the baking
industry. Ryan brings a good positive
attitude to the team.

Gail Pye
(Charity - Westpac Helicopter Trust)
Gail has been
employed at Breadcraft Wai Ltd since January
2006 and has worked her way though to be a
leading hand for the past 12 months.Gail
continues to improve her team when time
permits and she tries to make sure that her
team are well informed. Gail runs the
packing dispatch team for the Riga shift
that produce high quality press and Die line
tortillas as well as pita for the whole
country. We provide 50.000 units per week in
this area and with out Gail’s leadership and
commutation to other leading hands and staff
this area would not run as smooth.

Margaret Brooks
(Charity - Plunket)
Margaret is the driving force behind our
customer services team and is always very
pleasant and helpful both on the phone to
customers and within the entire bakery,
always happy to assist in any role she is
involved with. As well as maintaining
an extremely high standard of communication
and rapport with local and inter-company
customers, Margaret is also involved with
tally preparation, account maintenance and
many reconciliations that are extremely
important to out operation. She is very
conscientious in all areas and insists on a
high degree of accuracy while maintaining
her usual pleasant and co operative
disposition to the team.
